Mathew (Matt) Brent Romer

Mathew (Matt) Brent Romer was born on July 27, 1989 in Ogden, Utah.  He passed away on March 26, 2024 at the age of 34.

He grew up in Kaysville, Utah and graduated from Davis High School in 2007.  He became a personal trainer and loved working out.  He could be found at the gym almost every day.

Matt worked as a handyman and loved working and building with his hands. Matt loved to draw and was very creative.  He also had beautiful handwriting and also did calligraphy.

Matt had a very outgoing personality and could strike up a conversation with anyone and talk for hours. He was always willing to help anyone in need.

It is fair to say that Matt has fought the battle with addiction for many years. Sadly despite all of his efforts and those who loved him, he lost that battle.  His family finds solace knowing that his is finally at peace and in a better place.

Matt is survived by his parents Gary and Annette Frasier Romer, his older brothers; Nick Romer, Nate (Caitlyn) Romer and his four nephews that he loved and adored, Oskar, Wally, Archie and Gus.

He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Committal service will be held Wednesday April 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
