Brett Matthew (Matt) Francis, 56, of Layton, Utah, died unexpectedly on October 28, 2022. His loss was completely unexpected, and the family was shocked and deeply saddened.
Matt was born on December 14, 1965, to Margaret Evans and George R Bousquet in Layton, Utah. He was adopted and raised by John and Margaret Evans Francis. Matt attended Layton High School and was a member of the DECA Club and FFA. After graduating high school, Matt went on an LDS mission to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
He worked as a Journeyman Electrician for most of his life and loved the work. When not working, he loved to read old westerns and watch old western movies. He was an avid coin collector. At present, he was working at IRS in Ogden, Utah.
Anyone who knew Matt knew that he was a kind and caring person. Matt’s family and friends will miss his presence more than words can say.
Matt was predeceased in death by his sister Shellie (Jim deceased) Noon, and his father, John Francis.
Matt is survived by daughters Stephanie (Colt) Norr, KaDee Francis and grandchildren Kialynn Kae and Edward Asa J Norr. Mother Margaret Francis and Sisters Tammi (Dennis) Tuke, Lauri (Steve) Klink, Brother Cody (Shana) Francis. Nieces and Nephews Josh Tuke, Jimmie (Heidi) Noon, Nate Tuke, Kristina (Rick deceased) Klenk, Crystal (Israel) Hernandez, Brittanie (Javi) Rodriguez, CJ (Toi) Klink, Jessie Noon, Matt (Dano) Klink, Danielle (Taylor) Liptrot, Kylie (Cole) Heavin, CJ Francis, Becca Tuke, Austin Tuke, Jaden Noon. Great Nieces and Nephews Jordan Tuke, Kyler Hohlios, Colton Hernandez, Anna Lynn Noon, Jaxson Rodriguez, Jojo Noon, Hannah Lee Rodriguez, Cambrielle Hernandez, Jonah Rodriguez, Calvin Klink, Athena Tuke.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. All are welcome to come.
