ROY a€" Matthew Michael Martinez, 21, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

He was born November 25, 1985 in Ogden, a son of Michael Manual and Tamara B. Archuleta Martinez.

Matthew was a very bright young man and even with his challenges he was always smiling and happy. He was very strong and very strong willed; he definitely beat the odds. Matthew loved music and attended the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind.

The family wishes to thank the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind for all their help over the years.

Matthew, to the world you may have been one person, but to one person you were the whole world.

Surviving are his parents, Tamara and John Hall, and Michael and Jana Martinez, all of Roy; one brother and two sisters, Johnny Hall, Jr., and Sharon Martinez, both of Roy; Kimberly Martinez, Ogden; his grandparents, Fred and Elna Martinez, Ogden; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Matthew in death were his grandparents, Tony and Sharon Ledesma.

Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph''s Catholic Church, 514 a€" 24th Street.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. where Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
