Maureen Barlow

Maureen Peterson Barlow, 77, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend returned peacefully, with open arms to her Heavenly Father on December 7, 2016 in Roy, Utah. She was born November 25, 1939, in Logan, Utah to Lorna and Louis Peterson. She was the second of three children and lived most of her younger years in Bountiful, Utah where she met her high school sweetheart Paul Taylor Barlow. Paul and Maureen were married in the Salt Lake City temple for time and all eternity on July 3, 1959. During their journey together they lived in Colorado, California, and Northern Utah, although Layton, Utah was home. Maureen was a daughter of God who enjoyed serving in the various church callings throughout her life as well as the Ogden Temple. Her favorite hobby was bowling although her joy in life was spending time with her family and friends.

Maureen’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her sweetheart of 57 years, Paul Taylor Barlow, her 7 children: Daniel Barlow, Cindy (Mario) Garcia, Tony Barlow, Corry (Monica) Barlow, Paula Barlow Fiet, Rodney (Heidi) Barlow and Tyson (Felicity) Barlow, her 39 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, her brother, Eugene (Mary Lou) Peterson and her sister Karen Salazar. She was a loving and devoted wife, mom, grandma and friend to everyone she met. She had a huge heart and unconditional love that was felt and enjoyed everywhere she went.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
