WILLARD a€" Maurine Blackham Mower, 86, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at her home in Willard.

She was born March 16, 1924 in Moroni, Utah, a daughter of Elwin and Ada Gunderson Blackham. Elwin died shortly before her birth and she was raised in Mt. Pleasant by her grandparents, Erick and Cecelia Gunderson while her mother traveled as a school teacher to provide a living for her family during the depression.

Maurine married Thomas Moreland Mower on February 2, 1942 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Tom preceded her in death on April 4, 2005.

She was a very faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Maurine was a diligent faithful wife and mother, extraordinarily dedicated to supporting her husband and children in all their endeavors throughout all of their lives. Service, hard work and undying loyalty were her badge of honor. Maurine was known for taking her delicious pies and fruit to those she loved and those in need, all over Willard.

Surviving are four sons and one daughter, Thomas Elwin (Lidia) Mower, Springville, UT; Richard Winston Mower, Fountain Hills, AZ; Jerald Berkley (Tedi Jeen) Mower, Bedford, WY; John Leslie Mower, Clinton, UT; Lori Maurine Dominy Hall, Willard, UT; 24 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren .

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Moreland Mower, daughter, Francene Whitecar, son-in-law, Donnie Ray Dominy, grandson, Brett Mower and great-grandson, Dan Mower.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Willard Stake Center 8230 South Highway 89, with Bishop Phillip Gertge officiating.

Family will meet friends at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the Stake Center from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Fairview, Utah Cemetery where graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m.
