Maurine Bernice Parker

Maurine Bernice Kidman Parker passed away comfortably at her home in Marriott-Slaterville, Utah on Thursday, September 15th.
Maurine was born in 1939 in Cache Valley Utah to loving parents, Milton Kidman and Bernice Stettler. She was a raised on Pioneer Road in Slaterville, was a graduate of Weber High School, and worked many years for the Southern Pacific Railroad and Internal Revenue Service in Ogden.
She was a member of the LDS Church and held tremendous faith in Jesus Christ.
Maurine was preceded in death by her loving parents and by her 1st husband Gene Miller.
In 1980, Maurine married the love of her life, Carl H. Parker; after which, they lived in various places including California, Texas, and Utah. Maurine was blessed with a wonderfully full life with her husband of 37 years and both shared a genuine love for family.
Maurine enjoyed family gatherings such as birthday parties and holidays. She especially loved their 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Maurine enjoyed time with Carl raising and showing paint horses, a passion acquired from Her father Milton. Carl and Maurine traveled to Russia and Brazil representing the American Paint and Utah Paint Horse Associations.
Maurine was blessed with many dear friends whom she treasured. She is loved and cherished by her family and friends and will be dearly missed for her happy, cheerful countenance, her kind, forgiving nature, her generous and loving ways, and her special gift to bring smiles to her grandchildren.
Maurine's sons & daughters express their sincere gratitude to their Dad for his constant respect and tender love for Mom.
Maurine is survived by her husband Carl H. Parker, and five children: Kathy Meyers (Steve) of Gilroy California; Wayde D. Miller (Julie) of Stephenville Texas; Dennis G. Miller (Lisa) of Farr West, Utah; Stacy Smith (Patrick) of Jacksonville, Florida; and Darren R. Coleman (Jen) of Marriott-Slaterville, Utah. She is also survived by four sisters, each of whom she loves dearly: Beverly Wilson (Alan) of Clinton, Utah; Mary Lynn Happeny of Marriott-Slaterville, Utah; Kathy Thompson of Honeyville, Utah; and Vickie Butler (Vern) of Marriott-Slaterville, Utah.
Maurine's family appreciates the medical professionals that provided care on her behalf.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Marriott/Slaterville 3rd Ward Chapel, 250 North 1500 West. The family will meet with friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a cancer foundation.
