Max Bitton

We are heartbroken over the loss of a great man, Max Bitton. He was generous, thoughtful, kind-hearted, a great story teller, loved pranks and was funny as hell.

Max was born on April 24, 1945 in Huntsville, UT to Darreld and Maxine Wilson Bitton. He proudly served in the US Navy during Vietnam.

He married Phyllis Dobiash and they had two sons, Max D. Bitton Jr. (deceased) and Michael W. (Paige) Bitton. They later divorced. Max married the love of his life, JoLene Cash on September 2, 1995 at their cabin in Duchesne. He immediately gained four children: Jodee (Dennis) Rose, Ky (Kathryn) Horrocks, Kelley (Steven) Sanford, and Michael Horrocks. He is also survived by his brother Les (Lorna) Bitton and his sister Susan (Stan) Hales; 14 grandchildren: Bryan, Weston, Colton, Carrie, Cassity, Curtis, Julie, Matthew, Dallin, Mary, Sierra, Gavin, Lily, and Avrie plus many more who called him Grandpa.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road where friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
