MAX BOYER
1923 – 2018
Max Boyer, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 13, surrounded by his loving family.
Max was born on February 28, 1923 in Coalville, Utah, the son of Robert Earl and Hazel Wilde Boyer. He married the love of his life, Ruth Lee, on January 18, 1947 in Morgan, Utah.
They moved to Bountiful, Utah in 1955 where they lived until their deaths. He is survived by his five wonderful children: Richard Boyer, Patricia B. Bangerter (Rick), Deborah B. Hilton (Tim), Dennis Boyer (Lucy), and Kenneth Boyer (Beth). He is also survived by his brothers, Ted Boyer and Jack Boyer, and his sister, Lorraine Stephens. Max has 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Max served honorably in World War II as part of the U.S. Army. He fought in France and at the Battle of the Bulge. He was honorably discharged in 1945. He was a loyal member of The International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers Local #27 until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth; and sisters, Kathleen and Afton. The family would like to give special thanks to Symbii Health and Hospice for their special care, compassion, and understanding. Friends may visit family for a viewing at Lindquist Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, UT from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 22nd. There will also be a graveside military service at the South Morgan Cemetery, 335 South State Street, Morgan, UT.
