Maxine Harriet Katsilas 1931-2009

Maxine Harriet Katsilas, 78, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009 at her home after courageous 18 month battle with cancer.

She was born August 25, 1931 in Deckerville, Michigan the daughter of Joseph and Anna Davis McNabb. Maxine married James ''Allen'' Katsilas, November 14, 1958 in Carson City, Nevada.

Maxine and Al have lived in Bountiful for the past 40 years where they are members of the St. Olaf Catholic Church. Maxine worked for Northwest Airlines as a ticket agent. She enjoyed traveling to see the world, working at the homeless shelter, dancing and watching the Utah Jazz. She loved her family especially cooking for them.

She is survived by her husband J. Allen, sons Darrick (Julie), David (Michele), Daron; daughter Deborah Hunwick; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two sisters Norma (Charles) Davis, and Joyce (Richard) Goller. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. The family expresses a special thanks to the Huntsman Cancer Center and Millcreek Hospice.

Funeral mass will be held 10 am Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 1800 S. Orchard Dr. Bountiful. Friends may call Tues from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N 400 E. Interment Bountiful Lakeview Memorial Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
