Meagan Nichole Grimes

Our Beautiful Precious Girl, Meagan Nichole Grimes, 36, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in West Valley City, UT.

Meagan was born on March 31, 1981, in Jacksonville, Florida, a particularly beautiful baby with a sweet disposition. She grew up in Macclenny, Florida, a place she always considered home even after she moved with her family to Utah. Meagan graduated from Jordan High School, Sandy, UT, in 1999. She later furthered her education, graduating from Mountain West College earning her associates degree in Salt Lake City, UT as a Medical Assistant. Anyone who was fortunate enough to know Meagan knew of her caring heart and her love for those around her, friends and strangers alike. Her light was extinguished far too soon and those of us she left behind will miss her laughter, fun nature and quirky smirk of a smile. She found the love of her life in her fiance, Jack. Jack was a God send and we will be forever grateful for the love and care he showered on Meagan. She was immensely proud of the home she built with Jack and the many talents he had in his different projects and renovations. She was her Mother's best friend, her Father's Beautiful Precious first child, her siblings' buddy and biggest supporter. Regardless of any challenges Meagan had, she still found time to give a sweet compliment and lift another up. She was always giving to others sharing compassionate service to anyone in need.  She was a free spirit that we will forever see in every sunset and ocean wave, in precious memories we hold dear until we meet again in Heaven.

Meagan is survived by her fiance, Jack Defa of West Valley, UT; Mother, Margaret Ellen Kirkland Dickson South Weber, UT; Father and Step-Mother Kevyn & Tara Grimes, Eden Utah; Maternal Grandparents,  Granvel & Margaret Kirkland Glen St. Mary, FL; Paternal Grandparents, Charles & Rose Ann Grimes Glen St. Mary, FL; Four Brothers,  Nairn Higginson, South Weber, UT; Jacob Higginson, currently serving an LDS mission in Federal Heights, WA;  Logan Kirkland, South Weber, UT; and Kanyon Grimes, Eden, UT; Two Sisters, Makenna Dickson, South Weber, UT; and Madyson Grimes, Eden, UT. She leaves a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins who adore her and will deeply miss her.

She deeply loved her family, a doting sister to her siblings and loving daughter and grand-daughter. She was predeceased in death by her Grandfather, Charles Grimes, who we know greeted her with open arms for a joyous reunion when she entered our Heavenly Father's kingdom.
