Megan Sylvie Pysnak, 15, passed away January 15, 2009 after a skiing accident. She was born August 2, 1993 in St. George, Utah to Bernard and Sylvie Seidlerova Pysnak where she lived for five years, then moved with her family to Bountiful, Utah.
Megan was nicknamed "Love," because she was full of charity. She always greeted everyone with a smile and always desired to lift others up.
Megan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active her entire life serving in both Beehive and Mia Maid presidencies. She received her Young Women Recognition Award at age 13. Megan was a student at Bountiful High School and was accepted to BYU-Provo for Fall Semester, 2009. She was in the process of applying for a Presidential Scholarship because of her extraordinary academic achievements.
Her interests included scripture study and talking about correct principals of the gospel, attending the temple, journal writing, dancing and singing, playing the piano, reading and writing books (teamwork writing), riding bikes, running, skiing, swimming, sewing, knitting, scrapbooking, and caring for children. She loved her family more than anything else and was known as "Daddy''s Buddy."
She is survived by her parents; a brother Michael (Tiffany); four sisters Melissa, May, Michaela, and Monika (Spencer) Sessions; a nephew Michael Bernard Pysnak Jr.; and grandparents Miroslav and Jindra Seidler. She was preceded in death by grandparents Bernard and Matylda Pysnak.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2006 at 11 am at the Mueller Park Stake Center, 1800 E. Mueller Park Rd. (1800 S.) Friends may call Sunday, January 18 from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Monday 9:30-10:30 am at the church prior to the services. Interment Lakeview Memorial, Bountiful.
