Meg Healy, 20, of Layton passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 23, 2025, with her loving dog Chip by her side.
Meghan Kathleen Healy was born on December 29, 2004, in Billings, Montana. She was adopted at birth and felt gratitude to her birth family’s selflessness for placing her with adoptive parents who loved her unconditionally. She was raised in different states due to her military upbringing.
Meg graduated from Career Path High in Kaysville, UT Class of ‘23. She was a kind soul who loved animals, especially her first dog Timmy and of course her service dog Chip whom she received in November 2024. Growing up, Meg was an excellent swimmer and won medals competitively. She was a phenomenal reader reading at the post high school level in 6th grade school. By far, her greatest trait was her kind and loving heart. She always sought to help people or just say a kind word to brighten their day. This combined with her quick, witty sense of humor left a lasting positive impression on those she encountered. She was a bright girl and a good artist. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Meg is survived by dad Andy Healy of Layton, and mother Melisa Healy: aunts and uncles; Joe Healy, New Hampshire, Terry and Tina Healy, Vermont, Loree Lovdahl and Jan Luchsinger of Oklahoma; cousins Lanna and SkyLynn Lovdahl and Michael and Elizabeth Healy; and her bio family; birth mother Tabatha Chenault, brothers and sister Ethan, Brooklyn, Michael and Tristan Chenault.
Meg was preceded in death by her grandparents L. Curtis and Jill Luchsinger, and Joe and Jan Healy.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 100 E.5550 S. South Ogden, Utah. Interment will follow at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road Layton, Utah.
