Meichelle Murray Smith
October 28, 1957 ~ November 21, 2017
Dear Mom,
Our Lord has a very special place in your heart. I know without a doubt that is true. I am thankful for the little time spent with you. You were a good mother, a good friend, a good daughter and a good sister, but most of all you were a beautiful Grandmother. Ryker and River loved their “Gramma Shell.”
Your love for our Lord, Jesus Christ, showed in your actions and in your person. When people saw you, they witnessed a gentleness that only He can give.
Mom, you are free now. Unbound. No more chains. You are loved beyond anything I can possibly imagine, and I am thankful.
Your loving son,
Tyson.
Meichelle Murray Smith was born to Robert M. Murray and Sharron S. Robinson on October 28, 1957 in Ogden, Utah. She grew up in Davis County and graduated from Layton High School in 1975. She worked as a machinist at Hill Air Force Base for approximately 25 years.
She is survived by her son, Tyson Lee Murray; grandchildren, Ryker and River Murray; parents, Robert M. (Pauline) Murray, Sharron S. Robinson; siblings, Blake (Linda) Murray, Lori Burlison, Terry Murray, Brett Foxley, Michael (Stacey) Murray and David (Carolyn) Murray; numerous nieces and nephews, and last, but not least, her beloved dog, Keeper.
Like all of us, Meichelle was a prodigal. And like the son in the parable she finally had enough and called upon the Lord. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior during the last decade of her life. Throughout the years she had many struggles – some of which she could not overcome, but Jesus overcame them all for her. He paid the price at the cross for this beloved daughter. To Him be the glory.
A Celebration of Life Open-House will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Canyon Road Assembly of God, 1390 Canyon Road, Ogden, UT 84404. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
