Melanie Andersen Rowley

December 15, 1966 — March 2, 2025

NORTH OGDEN–It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Melanie Andersen Rowley who unexpectedly passed from this life on March 2, 2025, at the age of 58 due to complications from surgery at Ogden Regional Medical Center. She was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, sweetness, and unwavering love touched the lives of many.

She was born on December 15, 1966, in Ogden Utah, a daughter of Vernon and Diane Andersen. She grew up in Harrisville, Utah, on the family farm close to her cousins and family members who she adored. She graduated from Weber High School. She continued her education and received an associate degree from Weber State University. She married Blair Rowley, and although they later divorced, they remained friends.

Melanie worked as a clerk at the Ogden Internal Revenue Service for the last 25 years. She loved spending time with friends and family, going to the movies, and her weekly bingo nights. She was also an avid Weber State University sports fan.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, especially cherishing her time serving with the children in Primary. She served as a missionary in the Raleigh North Carolina Mission.

She never missed an opportunity to celebrate with her loved ones and supported them in all their activities. She will be greatly missed by many.

Melanie is survived by her siblings, Blake (Susan) Andersen, North Salt Lake, Utah and Stacie (Michael) Schoonmaker, Beaverton, Oregon; her step siblings, Blaine (Debbie) Campbell, Ramona Smith, Alan (Lorraine) Campbell, and Elaine Short. She is also survived by her favorite nieces and nephews, Trevor, Jenna, Nico, Brinley, Tim, Damian, Fei, Brayden, Chandler, and Spencer.
