Melba Briggs Johnson

Melba Briggs Johnson, 88, died December 5, 2010 in Bountiful,Utah. Born April 12, 1922 in Beaver, Utah to Joseph Robert and Lavina Hoopes Briggs. Married L. Robert Johnson on February 3, 1943 in Boston, Massachusetts.

She lived most of her married life in Las Vegas, Nevada where she enjoyed flower gardening, golf and being a member of various social clubs. She will be missed.

Survived by her husband Robert, daughter Marilyn A Larsen of Bend Oregon, son Michael R. Johnson of West Bountiful, Utah, brothers; Karl Briggs, Lamar Briggs, sisters; Zola Halsey, Ila Mae Julian and Lois Atkin; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and sisters Alverta Goodwin and Lenore Swindlehurst and one grandson.
