Melinda Gulbranson

September 14, 1966 ~ July 29, 2016

Heaven received a new angel on Friday, July 29, 2016. Melinda was born September 14, 1966 the daughter of James and Patricia Gulbranson. She left us at the sweet age of 49 or as she said “forty-fine”.

Melinda had a heart of gold and so much love for every person she met. Anyone that met Melinda had a forever friend. Melinda taught us to love unconditionally, find joy in life’s most simple things, love singing off key, the color purple, holidays and birthdays. She especially loved giving Heavenly hugs and contagious smiles which she shared with everyone she met. Melinda truly loved her family and friends who all adored her.

We will miss Melinda’s sparkle and spunk that brought us so much joy. This saying says it all, “Down Syndrome doesn’t mean I’m down. My smiles are contagious. My laugh is medicine for the heart. My hugs are Heavenly. My heart itself is PURE GOLD”.

She loved attending North Davis special needs mutual which brought a special light to her eyes. She worked at Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center (PARC) for the last 30 years. Thanks to PARC and its amazing staff, Melinda had the wonderful opportunity to have quality of life and purpose.

Melinda is survived by her mother, her brother, Dennis (Susan) Gulbranson, sister, Shauna Judkins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, and a special cousin.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Clinton City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Wednesday, August 3rd from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
