Melissa Moon

Melissa was called back to her home in Heaven much too soon on December 26, 2019 at 4:57 p.m.

Melissa was born on September 15, 1970 in Victorville, California.  She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was passionate about being a caregiver within the healthcare field. Her feisty sense of humor and tender heart will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her favorite things to do were play with her grandchildren, crochet, and watch the Utah Jazz.  She was always willing to help people in need.

She will live on through the lives that she saved by donating her heart, liver, kidneys and eyes.

Surviving are her parents, Wane and Sherri Moon, children, Cameron (Brianne) Phillips, Courtney (Chris) Morris, grandchildren, Bentley Tanner, Harper Phillips, Averie Phillips, Ezra Morris, Jaxen Morris, siblings, Cindy (Ob) Cano, Mike (Martha) Moon, best friend/sister, Haleena Malone, nieces and nephews, Braxton Moon, Brendon Moon, Landon Cano and Madyson Cano.

Preceded in death by her great-grandma, Leah Williams, grandparents, Bill and Irma Jones, Larry and Pat Lear and Bill and Mary Moon.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dagar and entire staff at Davis Hospital ICU for their compassion and kindness during Melissa’s care.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.   Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
