Melita Monica Robison

Our beloved mother Melita Monica Robison of Clearfield, Utah passed away on June 6, 2012 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born July 10, 1935 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada to the proud parents of Daniel and Rose Skinner. She was 1 of 9 children. She was married 32 years to Cecil Paul Robison and they raised five children together. In her early years she was a proud military wife and homemaker as well as great supporter to Cecil''s career. She lived in numerous states and countries and loved traveling the world. She later worked at DFG Ski Company in the Freeport center for 28 years and finally decided to retire at the age of 72. She was a member of the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic church and served several years as a volunteer member for the American Legion Auxiliary club helping with fund raising events to support families in the military and her local community. In her spare time she enjoyed camping, card games, and playing bingo. She also loved reading romance novels and her National Inquirer magazines. But what she loved the most was her family, her church, and riding the Wendover fun bus with her friends. She made friends easily and left a lasting impression on those she touched in her life. She was our mother and the pleasure was all ours. You truly only live in other people''s hearts and she will live on forever. We will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her five children, Gary Robison of Clearfield; Kathy (Lynn) Carter of Roy; Bo Robison of Sunset; David Robison of Watford City, North Dakota; and Gerianne (Kevin) Roberts of Navarre, Florida. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Robbie Paul Robison, Kimberly (Andrew) Rich, Jessica Robison, Amy (Zach) Ward, Amanda Robison, Austin Robison, Jordan Roberts and her two great-grandsons little Jace and Garrett and a great-granddaughter on the way.

She is preceded in death by her late parents Daniel and Rose Skinner, her three sisters, Mary, Elizabeth, and Eileen, and one brother Ambrose.

The family would like to thank the American Red Cross and the great people that donate blood, the staff at the Rocky Mountain Care Center, the personnel at McKay-Dee Hospital and Intermountain Hospice for the care that was given to our mother. Instead of donations to the family please visit your local American Red Cross and donate blood. It really is the gift of life.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 So. Chapel Street, Layton. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
