Melody Jo Adams

April 23, 1955 ~ December 31, 2019

Melody Jo Adams, 64, a long-time Clinton resident, passed away early Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT, following a valiant battle with cancer.

Born April 23, 1955 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Melody was the youngest of three children of Keith Laverne and Virginia Althea Beischl Krause. Raised and schooled in Allentown, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Parkland High School, Class of 1973.

A paralegal for many years for Ogden Attorney, Pete Velokous, Melody later worked for the IRS, retiring medically in the early 2000s.

Although she was married earlier on and had two sons, the love of her life was Willard James “Bill” Adams, to whom she was wed on May 30, 1992 in Clinton, Utah. Melody and Bill enjoyed camping, trail riding on their ATVs, and raising their dogs, most recently including Bella and Jake, who she affectionately referred to as ‘her babies.’

Melody was a fan of Wendover, had a clean streak in her, and enjoyed traveling very much. Including trips to see her sister, Debrah in Vegas, visiting her son Ryder all over, whether Ireland or Disneyworld or wherever he was stationed at the time, Melody was a world traveler. Melody will be remembered for being feisty and funny all at the same time. She was loving, patient, and kind but also could be firm, expecting the best out of her family. She was devoted, possessed amazing attention to detail, but most of all she was a beautiful and strong woman, inside and out, and will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know her.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Willard “Bill” Adams, Clinton; sons, Ryder Scott Miller, Reno, and Trevor Lee Miller, Clearfield; four grandchildren, Makayla, Bastian, Drake, and Rogan; mother, Virginia Krause, Clinton; brother, Keith Kenneth Krause, Florida, and sister, Debrah Sparlin, of Las Vegas, Nevada. She had a special friendship with her sisters-in-law, Diana “Dino” Keoppel, also of Clinton, Gloria Gebhart, Ogden, and father-in-law, Eddie Griego. Melody was preceded in death by her father, Keith.
