Melvin Maestas passed away February 27, 2017 in Roy, Utah at age 58.  He was born July 17, 1958 in Ogden, Utah to loving parents Felipe A. and Augustina Abeyta Maestas.

Melvin enjoyed taking trips to Wendover, Nevada.  He liked to go fishing, bowling and also liked to “Check out the Ladies”.

Melvin is survived by his loving father Felipe, his brother Jerry Maestas of Layton.  He was preceded in death by his mother Augustina and his brother Mickey.

Cremation under the direction of Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.
