I was born to Cecil and Ethel Jones Rhoades on January 7, 1952. I lost my battle with a short illness on Sunday, October 3, 2010.

I was raised in Roy, Utah with my five brothers, Lee (Robyn) Rhoades, Rodney (Trudy) Rhoades, Eric (Theresa) Roberson, Hal Edwards (deceased), Dale Edwards, and my five sisters, Marie Clay, Iris (Jim) Wheeler, Kelly Larsen (deceased), Gerry (Kim) Keele, and Dawn Edwards (deceased). I graduated from Roy High School and joined the U.S. Air Force shortly after. I worked at DDO, DEPMEDS, and Hill Air Force Base for the past 29 years, receiving many awards and letters of recognition.

I married Kathy Smith Nalder on September 5, 1980 and we have resided in South Weber. I had the privilege to help raise four wonderful children, Nicole (Kelly) Black, Heidi (Cody) Shaw, Trent (Alisha) Nalder, and Trever (Jenny) Nalder. Being their dad meant the world to me. I have 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, which I adore.

I have one great-grandchild (Khylan Shaw), two sisters, one brother and my grandparents waiting for me in Heaven.

I was a member of the Eagles for many years. I enjoyed my bowling and golf leagues with family and friends.

I would like to thank my children and wife for the comfort and love I have felt. My family and I would also like to thank our family and friends, the South Weber 1st Ward, the members of 75th Logistics Readiness Squadron at HAFB, and Legacy Hospice for their support during this time.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet friends for a visitation on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Uintah Cemetery.
