Melyssa Susan Phelps, 28, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019.

She was born February 8, 1991 in Ogden, Utah to James L. Phelps and Ellen Gardner. She spent most of her life in Northern Utah, Roy and Sunset. Also, lived in Toquerville, which she loved.

Melyssa loved to read and experiment with make-up. She enjoyed drawing and sketching. She was happiest playing with her kids, Zoey says “smush our faces”. She loved selfies, the digital world and music. She had a unique sense of humor and a fierce love for her children.

She worked in retail but enjoyed being a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Zoey Forsberg, Roy; Danika Nicholson, Ogden; parents, Jim and Michelle Phelps, Roy; Ellen O’Shea, Toquerville; Chris and Nikki O’Shea, Roy; and four siblings, Trevor Phelps, Ashlee Phelps, Collin O’Shea and Layla O’Shea. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Susan Nielsen.

The family will meet with friends Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. A Memorial service will be held that evening at 7 p.m. at the mortuary.
