Mera Roman

Mera Lee Anderson Roman, born December 10, 1953, to J. Warren and Bonnie Ball Anderson, passed away unexpectedly from a stroke on the evening of Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

She was always the life of the party and was truly loved by all who knew her.  If you crossed paths with her, you were instantly her friend.  She took interest in and genuinely cared for others.  Throughout her life, Mera Lee was extremely active. She enjoyed and participated in softball and drill team in her youth and was a great cheerleader to her children in all their activities.  She was always planning fun things to do.  She loved to travel and visited many countries throughout North and South America, Europe and Southeast Asia.

Mera Lee graduated from Weber State College of Cosmetology in 1973 and, as a hairdresser, she built an extensive and loyal clientele for 46 years.  Mera Lee was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in the Italy Rome Mission from July 1976 to January 1978.  Mera Lee had a testimony of her Father in Heaven and her Savior, Jesus Christ, and the Plan of Happiness. As we grieve her loss, we rejoice in her reunion with her many loved ones.

She loved her husband and family.  Mera Lee is survived by her husband Tony Roman; daughter Alexandria Richter (Matt); stepdaughters Roxanne Roman and Nicole Love (Kelly); stepson Kevin Roman (Susanna); sisters Mari Lynn Cook (Bob) , Mar Gene Anderson, Janet Phelps; brother Michael W. Anderson (Lois); 4 grandchildren, and 18 nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother, brother Mark J. Anderson, sister Mello Dee Anderson, and son Chandler A. Roman.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Crestwood Stake Center, 855 East Mutton Hollow Road, Kaysville.  Friends may visit family Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.   Interment, Lakeview Memorial Estates, 1640 East Lakeview Dr., Bountiful.
