Merdene Wise, 62, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.
She was born April 6, 1957 the daughter of Grant and Lola Dean Larsen Boyce in Fort Worth, Texas.
Merdene married Michael Eugene Smith in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She worked at Lifetime Products. It was not just her career it was her pride and joy and her second family.
Merdene loved being a grandma, mom, woman, wife, sister, friend and daughter. Merdene never met a stranger and she left every conversation, appointment, meeting with hugs, big ones! She was known for them and always finding the good in life. Dinners with family and shopping with Tylee was her happy place. She was a gift giver and Piper always looked forward to her surprises. Surviving are her husband Mike E. Smith, son Robert Perkins, granddaughter Piper Perkins, daughter Meranda Perkins, granddaughter Tylee, ex-husband and father of her children, Dennis Perkins, Mike’s son, Brandon, grandchildren, Pheonix (Kyle) Headley, Stockton, Chase, Kayden, son, Max (Tori) Smith, grandchildren, Courtney, Markie, Chloe, daughter, Michelle (Brian) Brimhall, grandchildren, Bryce, Braxton, sister Teri (Alfred) Hawley, nieces and nephews, Kristen, Jaden, Jerzie, Jeremy, Kassidi, Emilia, brother Val Boyce, nieces and nephews, Trent, Robbie, Parker and Brad (Alora) Alvey.
She was a beloved dog mom to Buster, Skittles, Izzy who she fed too many treats. She is in heaven with Foxy Roxy giving her all the treats now.
She is excited to be united with her mom Lola.
Celebration of life will be held Monday, February 10, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the mortuary.
She will be missed terribly but will live and love on through every person she touched.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be made to Primary Children's Hospital in Merdene's name.
