Merlin S. Lemon
OGDEN – Merlin S. Lemon, 88, passed away December 28, 2016.
He was born May 30, 1928 in Brigham City, Utah the son of Orvin M. and Edith Shaw Lemon. He was raised in Corinne and Willard, graduating from Box Elder High School in 1946.
Merlin served in the U.S. Marines.
He married Ruth Bosworth in May 1949 in Logan, Utah. They later divorced. He married Patricia Hill Warburton on May 25, 1977 in Layton, Utah. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2008.
Merlin retired from Hill AFB after 38 years of service. He was a member of the LDS Church.
He enjoyed camping in his younger years and later in life he traveled often with Pat. He also liked woodworking.
Surviving are his children, LaDawn (Kent), Linda (Gene), Janet (Joel), Bryce (Tamara), Lynn (Steve), Sharon, step-daughter, Lisa, close family friend, Rick Craig, 18 grandchildren, as well as great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by Pat, his parents, brothers, sisters and two step-sons, Brad and Jeff Warburton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
