Meta Ann Watts Pierce
On the evening of Friday the 10th of August 2012, Meta Ann Pierce, beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother earned her angel wings as the Guatemalan like clouds rolled in and she joined our Heavenly Father.
Meta''s journey began on April 1, 1915, born to Louis Austin Watts and Iva Belle Evans Watts, in Sterling, Idaho. She married the love of her life Thomas Ramos Pierce on August 6, 1942.
Meta was a strong willed woman that loved to share her stories, of which she had many. Meta had a passion for travel, grammar, music and dance. She was able to travel through, as well as, live in portions of South, Central and North America with her beloved husband. She passed her love of music and dance to her children and grandchildren. Meta even earned her wings as a pilot, which was quite rare for her day.
She was a caring, generous, witty and charming woman. If you were fortunate enough to know Meta, you couldn''t help but love and respect her. She shared these qualities with the frequently visiting members of her LDS church. She truly enjoyed these visits and was very thankful for all of their support.
Surviving are her sister Aloha Dedeker, her children Lila Harris Turner, Tommie R. Pierce, Ann Irene Pierce, Michael L. Pierce, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Thomas Ramos Pierce, daughter E. Jeanine Pierce, son Gary F. Pierce, four brothers, one sister and her dog Lady.
Family and close friends paid their respects on Tuesday 8/14/12.
Rest in Peace our Beloved Meta Ann Pierce...
