Micaela Aussem, 37, was warmly welcomed into the arms of Jesus early Sunday, March 8, 2015. The daughter of Brian L. and Cambra “Cami” Lee Davis Jensen, she was born on April 2, 1977. She was raised and schooled in Brigham City, West Point, and Layton, and settled in West Point.
Micaela married her high-school sweetheart, Christopher Edward Aussem, on June 25, 1994, and they raised two sons together, Jason Edward and Alexander Jonathan. Micaela devoted her life to her family and friends. She was always looking for ways to help people and animals.
Heaven must be ringing with laughter and amazement upon her arrival with her colorful hair language, love and caring. Micaela’s spirit was bigger than life which was evident in the many people she worked with from around the world as a medium. She impacted many people along the way and many become lifelong friends. One of her true passions was for animals and helping veterans find a good canine companions to help through all their transitions.
Micaela is survived by her husband, Christopher E. Aussem, West Point; sons, Jason E. (Paula) Aussem, Layton and Alexander J. Aussem, also of West Point; sister, Amy (Dustin Sowerby) Downs, Clinton; grandmothers, Marilyn Keyes, Williamsburg, VA and Lois Jensen, Mantua; and by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cami Jensen; father, Brian Jensen; and grandfathers, Dr. Gale Keyes and Blain Jensen.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
