Michael Eugene Acker

LAYTON - Michael Eugene Acker, 62, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017.  He was a gentle man who cared about those he knew and met.  He was a kind soul who visited this earth for a short time.

He was born November 7, 1954 the son of Charles Willard and Betty Rae Boling Acker in Newfoundland, Canada.

Michael traveled with parents overseas and the states while his father served in the military.

Surviving are his sister, Linda (Dwight) Martin, Clinton; three nieces, sister-in-law, and many great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Leslie M. Acker.

Private graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road for family and close friends.

The family would like to thank the ICU at Davis Hospital for their care of Michael in his final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Shriner’s Hospital.
