MICHAEL JOSEPH BABINSKY

April 21, 1952 – July 14, 2017

My best friend, the man who changed my life for the better for 36 years, the total love of my life was taken from this earth July 14, 2017.  He was blessed to be in the presence of his family when he left us unexpectedly.  I love you so much Michael.  You are my life.  I miss you beyond words.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy T., his father John P., and his older brother John C. Babinsky, father-in-law Fred L. Garcia and three infant grandsons.

Surviving members of his family are his wife, Vicky, his daughter Utonya (Wayne) Nielsen, sons Ryan (Heather) Babinsky, Michael (Tami) Babinsky, brother Paul Babinsky, sister Dottie (Allan) Smith, mother-in-law Lorraine Garcia, sisters-in-law Linda (Brad) Keyes, Christine (Kelly) Turner, brother-in-law Steven (Tara) Garcia, 10 grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and an uncle.

Many thanks to Tiffany Greathouse and Jae Stevenson for their quick response in attending to Mike and to Clinton City Fire Department, Paramedics and Police for your quick response and constant attempts to save my husband’s life.  Your thoughtfulness, empathy and kindness is commendable and appreciated.

You are now at peace my love.  Your pain and worries are over and you are back in the fold of your loving family in heaven.  Until I see you again I will carry so many fond memories of you with me.  You’re a part of my heart forever.  Rest in peace in the glory of God.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton, UT at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2017.  Military Honors will follow Mass in front of the church. A luncheon will be held immediately following in the Social Hall.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Mike’s favorite charity, Boy’s Town Nebraska or American Diabetes Foundation to help find a cure for this horrible disease.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, UT.
