Michael A. Bessey Today I bury my best friend and husband of 32 years. Michael A. Bessey decided to return to his Father in Heaven on July 19, 2008. Mike was born to Richard and Lola Bessey on October 6, 1948. He was the eldest of four children. He married Becky “Bucket” Bessey daughter of Ben and Louise Brown on June 7, 1975. He was the loving father of four boys and one girl. Mike was the owner of D & M Upholstery in Bountiful where he worked side by side with his son Jason. He was dedicated and loved the detail and the workmanship in the restoration of Hot Rods. Mike loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He had a true passion for guiding hunters, which he did for 18 years. He was also a dedicated member of the Bountiful Elks Lodge. Mike fought a courage’s battle against Merkel Cell Carcinoma for the past two years. Special thanks to the Huntsman Center Teams, Lakeside Dialysis Center, and the Woods Cross 12th Ward, friends and neighbors for all their loving support and help. Preceded in death be his father Richard Bessey, granddaughter Rori Marie Bessey, and father-in-law Ben Brown. Survived by his wife Becky, mother Lola, mother-in-law Louise, sisters Sandy and Barbara, brother Rick, brother-in-law Mike Brown, children Barry, Brandi, Chad and Andrea, Jason and Missy, Ben and Ashli, 16 grandchildren, numerous adopted children and grandchildren and numerous friends. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Bountiful Elks Lodge in memory of Mike Bessey. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Woods Cross 12th Ward Chapel, 1509 W. 1500 S. Friends may call Tues. July 22nd from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Wed. 12 noon – 1:30 pm at the church prior to services.
