Michael Jay Carver "Moxey"
BOUNTIFUL - Michael Jay Carver "Moxey" a friend to all who added a personal touch to everything he did. Our beloved brother, brother-in-law and uncle died in a tragic car accident Saturday, June 6, 2009.
Michael was born in Ogden, Utah, January 9, 1952 to Truman H. and Vivian Herrington Carver. He lived his childhood in Clinton and resided in the Kaysville/Bountiful area the balance of his years. He graduated from Davis High School, then attended and graduated from Weber State University with a business degree.
Michael was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in many callings, currently as a Primary teacher, this being his favorite. Having the opportunity to serve a mission in England Coventry was a life time experience he always cherished. He loved his church and the people in it. He was a gifted teacher and influenced many lives.
Michael will be remembered with a heart larger than life. He always thought of others before himself. He was loyal, caring and creative in everything he did. The one trait he will always be remembered for is his kindness to others. Like an artist putting the final signature on his creation, Michael added the personal finishing touch to everything he did.
He was one of a kind. He loved and cherished his nieces and nephews. He was always a practical joker. His favorite times were visiting friends, shopping, holiday parties and attending the Salt Lake and San Francisco Broadway Productions. Family and friends will never forget this loss of a brother and loving friend.
Michael is survived by his brother Truman R. (Kathleen) Carver, Kaysville; sister-in-law Carol Carver, Eden, UT; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Brent Carver.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Bountiful 54th Ward Chapel, 540 N. 1200 E.
