Michael Ted Christensen

Michael was a beloved member of our community. Leaving us on Saturday, February 17, 2024  he leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love, kindness and friendship. 

His enthusiasm for life and his adventurous soul inspired those who knew him. Whether casting a line in the water, setting up camp under the stars hunting, exploring new destinations, creating delicious meals, or simply basking in the sun with his hand radio, Michael found joy in every moment. 

Michael’s greatest joys were his family and friends. His loving soul mate, Kimberly Thompson, his son, William Ted (TC) Christensen II, his daughters, LeAnna Brookshire (Ty Brookshire) and Kaylie Destafano, his granddaughters, Paige and Charlie Brookshire, his brother, Jerry Christensen, his sister, Brenda Cramer (Sean Cramer) and his nieces and nephews all lift up his memory and carry Michael in their hearts every day in everything they do. 

As we mourn the loss of Michael Ted Christensen, we also celebrate the vibrant life he lived and the memories he created with his loved ones and friends. Michael provided for his family embracing his adventurous spirit as a truck driver for almost thirty years. He had a deep love for the open road and meeting new people. 

Everyone who knew Michael would tell you that he always cared to stop and ask you how you were doing. He would greet everyone with a smile, a warm handshake and usually shared one of his infamous jokes to brighten your day. Michael’s generous spirit always had a way of making everyone around him feel loved and cared for. 

Michael now walks into the open arms of his parents, Ted Christensen and Nedra May Christensen, his brother, Merce Delbert Christensen (Marilyn Kay Christensen), his sister Shannon Harker (Gregg Harker) and his grandparents Alfred Dallas, Alta Florice Labrum Dallas, Louis Christensen and Martha Bodell Christensen.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends one hour prior, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
