WASHINGTON TERRACE a€" Michael Davis, Sr., 57, died Friday, March 21, 2008 in Ogden of heart failure.

He was born November 5, 1950 in Ogden, a son of Carl and Dorothy Margaret Baker Davis.

Michael has been with his best friend and companion, Susan Smith, for many years.

He was raised and educated in West Warren where he attended Weber County Schools. In his younger years, Mike attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was a traffic controller for commuter rail construction. While living in Portland, Oregon, he was the President of the Shoe Repair Association.

Mike was a bull rider in his youth. He loved fishing, was the number one Utah Jazz Fan, and loved spending time with his children.

Surviving are his best friend and companion, Susan Smith, Washington Terrace; one son and three daughters, Michael Davis, Jr., Tremonton, UT; Amy (Kurt) Syphers, North Ogden; Megan Dawn Davis, Tremonton; Nicole Davis, Washington Terrace; one stepson, Jody Bacon, Ogden; and two grandchildren, Makenzie and Tate.

Also surviving are four sisters, Carol Sisk, Arizona; Darlene Teeter, Shirley Watkins and Linda Walker, all of Roy.

Preceding Mike in death were his parents and two brothers, Boyd Davis and Kenneth Davis.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Warren Cemetery.
