Michael Dodgen, 62, of Clearfield passed away March 12, 2013 after an eight year battle with Parkinson''s Disease. His family has been by his side since the first signs of PD back in 2005. He was born on July 30, 1950 in Bakersfield, California to Joyce and Jack Dodgen. He had two siblings, brother Gary, and sister Brenda.
He graduated with a Bachelor''s Degree in Mathematics from California State College Bakersfield in June 1973. He had a gift where he could learn new computer languages quickly and wrote software in a short period of time. His first supervisor in Utah said he was a "natural born programmer". Mike also played several musical instruments including trumpet, guitar, piano, and flute. Other activities included riding his Gold Wing motorcycle, playing computer games, and dominoes.
Mike was married to JoAnn Dodgen from April 1976 to May 1984. Even though Mike and JoAnn divorced, they remained friends and companions forever.
