Michael Garlich

Michael “Mike” Garlich age 63 passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at his home in Layton, Utah.  He was born May 7, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to Wilbur Dean and Linda Crystal Nehonen Garlich.  He lived in Chicago, IL, Oceanside, CA., Arlington, TX., Japan, And Layton, Utah.

He married Deborah Lynn Garlich on January 2, 1988 in San Diego, California.  He was the father of two son’s Michael Jr., and Philip.

Mike spent 20 years in the Marine Corps serving in support on Operation Desert Storm.  He retired from the Marine Corps.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Mike was an avid baseball and football fan, he loved listening to his favorite music, riding his motorcycle with his two sons.  Our fondest memory of him since getting out of the military would be him either doing yard work or working in his garden.

It was Mike’s decision not to have any formal services. It was his wish to be buried with his wife in California.
