Michael M. Graham

It is with deep sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of a great man.   Michael M. Graham passed away on December 7, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born to Eldin C. and Helen E. Graham on November 1, 1945 in Logan Utah.  Mike graduated from Davis High School in 1964 and attended Weber State University.  He served in Vietnam during 1968.  Mike worked at Barnes Aerospace for 25 years and retired in May 2010.  He had an amazing work ethic and always believed in doing things right the first time.  Mike lived life to the fullest.   He spent a great deal of time outdoors enjoying nature, camping, four wheeling, boating and one of his favorite hobbies, gold mining.   He especially enjoyed the camping trips with the grandchildren.  Mike could fix anything and often joked “I can fix anything except toilets and broken hearts.”   That was a true statement, but he could fix toilets, he just refused to do so.  Mike had a sarcastic, but funny sense of humor and could always make you laugh.

Mike is survived by his wife and best friend, Bev, and their children: Heather (Tod) Goodwin, Mesha Graham, Jenny (Greg) Harris, Heidi Wright, six wonderful grandchildren and his siblings Judi (Steve) Chapman, Bill (Johanna) Graham, and Kathie (Mike) Shaw.   He was preceded in death by his son Brandon, his parents and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sunil Sharma, Joan Collett and all of the staff at Huntsman Cancer Institute for their excellent care; and a heartfelt thank you to those who offered prayers in Mike’s behalf.   In lieu of flowers please send a donation to cancer research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
