Michael Ronald Hamblen

August 24, 1961 ~ November 27, 2016

In the early morning on November 27, 2016, Michael Ronald Hamblen peacefully slipped from this life.  In his passing, he was lovingly embraced by his mother and his beloved Grandma Hamblen.

Mike was born on August 24, 1961 to Ronald Curto and Jane E. Olsen Hamblen.  He lived the majority of his life in Riverdale, graduating from Bonneville High School in 1979.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He worked in a variety of occupations, including many years with his aunt and uncle at The Troc.  His career ended with the Utah Transit Authority.

Mike struggled with many health issues the last few years of his life.  We are grateful that he is now at peace.  The family expresses appreciation to his many health care providers, in particular Dr. Harry Senekjian, Dr. Adhish Agarwal, Dr. Nicholas Goucher, Dr. Mikio Obayashi, Bonneville Dialysis, Mark Lindsay Dialysis, IHC Hospice, and Crestwood Care Center; with special gratitude to Pat and Julie.  Special thanks to his friends Al and Barbara, Mark Hansen and family, and Bishop Scott Smith and family.

Mike is survived by his father, his sisters, Denise and Kris (Lenny); his nephew, Alex (Teisha); niece, KeiLee (Cody); great-nieces, Skyliee and Logan; and the sister of his heart, Sharon.  He was preceded in death by his mother, his grandparents, many family members, his dog Harley, and his best friend Tim.

The family expresses gratitude to Lindquist Mortuary for their assistance.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
