On July 12th 2011 the world lost a great son, father, brother, uncle and friend.

Michael Peter Hodson age 62, son of Ralph George Hodson and Helen Bernice Petersen Hodson, was born October 9, 1948 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was one of five children.

He graduated from Weber High and served his country in the Vietnam War. He worked at Defense Depot Ogden, Hill Air Force Base, DSC Logistics, and was currently working for URS Corp. where he was a valued employee and had many friends who will miss him dearly. He loved playing golf, driving his "Shelby" and hanging out with his dog Vixen.

Mike touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and could always make you laugh with his trademark sense of humor.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Hodson, son, Lucas Hodson, brother, Brett (Sandy) Hodson, sisters Christa (Jeff) Simonsen and Della Rae (Quinn) Andelin, his special friend Bonnie McCann and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Ralph George Hodson and brother Ralph Hodson Jr.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Michael''s life Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Syracuse 1st Ward Chapel, 2500 W 700 S from 6 to 8 pm.

Cremation is entrusted to Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
