Michael David Hymas

Mike passed peacefully at home in West Point, Utah on April 8, 2011. He was born in Salt Lake City on January 11, 1962 to Gary and Harriet Hymas.
He spent most of his young life in Syracuse with his mom and his step-dad Jim Loock. Mike went to Clearfield High School graduating class of 1980. Shortly after graduating he married Teresa Schofield. They had two daughters Candice Ann and Amanda Jane. Divorcing in 1985. He later adopted two children from a previous marriage Dianna "Mouse" and Cody "Littledude". In 1999 Mike found the love of his life Tiffany Kester Hymas.
Mike was an avid collector of trains, tractors and automobiles. Mike has worked in several jobs which allowed him to pursue his love of cars. He has been building Model T and Model A''s for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Throttlers Car Club. Mike loved to travel and go hunting for rare treasures. While on the road he would listen to his favorite songs mostly from the 70''s.
Mike is survived by his wife Tiffany Kester Hymas of 12 years, his children Candice and James Howard of Ogden, UT; Amanda and Brandon Kunzler of Brigham City, UT; Dianna Hymas of Layton, UT; Cody Hymas of Layton, UT; and his three grandsons Dylan and Brock Howard and Bryson Kunzler, his grandparents Rao Hymas and Audrey Michaelson of Liberty, ID; his father Gary R. and Jeanette Hymas of Preston, ID; his mother Harriet and Neil Cover of Layton, UT; Tiffany''s parents Keven and Terry Kester of Santaquin, UT. He also is survived by several brothers and sisters James (Leslie) Phillips, Ann (Mike) Berglund, Patty Angel, Daren (Crystal) Hymas, Ryan Hymas, Tresa (Blair) Spencer, Shontawn (Jennifer) Kester, Benten (Marissa) Kester, uncles and aunts, David (Diane) Gray, Ruthann McKane, Robert (LeAnn) Whitney, LeAnn (Robert) Hunt, Roger Hymas, Sherrie (Rick) Higley, Carol Hymas, several nieces, nephews and a lot of very special cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Leo V. Gray, grandmother Ruth Gray and grandmother Velma Hymas.
Friends may visit family on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Graveside services will be held in Liberty, ID at the Liberty Cemetery on April 15, 2011 at 2 p.m.
