August 9, 1994 - June 5, 2017

Our Champion, Michael Kyle Kearns, has returned to the big arena in the sky. His earthly match concluded on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 3:48 a.m. while surrounded by family.

Michael had a love for the great outdoors. You could say his ideal "Summer Slam" consisted of family, camping, swimming, and watching wrestling. We will always remember his contagious smile, and the way he enjoyed laying the "SmackDown" while playing UNO. He would never miss a wrestling match on pay-per-view. This guy was as tough and handsome as they come, yet he could still Karaoke with the best of us.

He will always be a HERO in the eyes of his mom, family and friends. Michael loved unconditionally and without bias. He didn't have a lot of time here, but he accomplished so much and touched the lives of so many. No matter what was going on he was always positive and happy. He truly is a Champion... my friends! He will always be missed, but will remain in our memories and our hearts forever.

Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Lacey Combs-Goodrum, his cousin, Casey Holley and his fur baby, Buster. He is survived by his mom, Rhonda (Jason) Goodrum; brother, R.C. (Madison) Unck; sister, Randi (Alex) Rushton; sister, Tani (Brady) Olborn; his five nieces, three nephews; grandparents, Ronald and Ruth Halbert and Ruby Goodrum.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Friday, June 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Family and friends are also invited to join us for a celebration of life on Sunday, June 11th, from 4pm-9pm at Golden Spike Park in Riverdale, 1260 West 5050 South.
