Michael John McCurdy, 33, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Davis Hospital. He was born November 16, 1977 in Bountiful, UT, the son of Thomas James and LaVerle Desiree Asmus McCurdy. He was loved and adored by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Michael was a graduate of Monte Vista School and was active in the LDS Special Needs Primary and Mutual. He was a resident of the Danville Home in Layton for the past 17 years until his passing.

He is survived by his parents Thomas and Diane; grandparents Gail and Joyce McCurdy and Corrie Asmus; brother Stephen T. (Mary) McCurdy; and his sisters Melanie J. (Neil) Christiansen, Kimberly (Shawn) Rasmussen; and five nieces and five nephews.

Preceded in death by his mother LaVerle D. Asmus McCurdy and two special cousins, Cameron and Carter Smith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Falcon Ridge Ward, 1360 E. Cherry Lane. Friends may visit family Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.

Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery, Tuesday, July 26 at 2 p.m.
