Michael B Ririe

The world lost a great man. Mike passed his way, at home, in his sleep. He was born in Ogden, UT, on January 7, 1958, to Elaine and Ronald Ririe.

He married Sheila Cummings in May of 2000.

Mike was proud to have been in the Untied States Marines from June 1976 to December 1981. Among his service awards, he was very proud to have earned and received two Meritorious Mast Awards. He then worked for various companies before ending up at Jack B. Parsons Co., retiring in June 2019. He made many dear friends during his career and cherished his friendship with Jacob Gailey.

One of his great loves was engineering and building things in his yard, and he was most proud of his two-story waterfall. Mike loved all of his dogs, even while cussing them. He especially “loved” his screaming parrot C.C.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sheila; his mother, Elaine and stepdad, Ralph Mason; his sisters, Michelle Ririe, Lisa (Dennis) Miller, Tami (Jeff) Rivas, and Marilyn (Richard) Youman; his brothers, Kip (Rhonda) Mason, and Kelly (Susan) Ririe. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Ririe; his grandparents, Joseph and Hilma Ray and Afton and Isabel Ririe; and by his brothers, Colby Mason and David Mason.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Roy Hope Center, 5051 South 2000 West. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
