Michael Frank Simmons

Michael Frank Simmons passed away on April 26, 2007 at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden due to complications following open heart surgery in the presence of his loving family. The medical staff performed brilliantly, but by the time they got to him, his heart was all but dysfunctional.

He was born in Roosevelt, Utah to Frank A. and Barbara Ann Mezenen Simmons on July 5, 1959. He graduated from Layton High School in 1977.

He worked at Auerbachs, Snow Basin, and several local restaurants.

Michael had many friends. He always showed his love for others by giving of himself freely.

He is survived by his parents, a brother Darryl Lee (Robyn), their children Skyler, Merrillee and Benjamin, a sister Carol Ann (Keith) Nance, their children Debra Ann and William (Billy). Also survived by four aunts, three uncles, and many cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, a cousin Donna Minton, Aunt Emma and Uncle Calvin J.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Layton West Stake Chapel, 1715 W. 1600 No., with Bishop Joel Barrow conducting. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Tuesday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.
