Michael Nelson Stott passed away at his home in Ogden Canyon due to complications from a childhood heart condition.
He was born on October 25, 1993, in Brigham City, UT, to Phillip and Altina “Tina” Stott. He attended Valley View Elementary, Sandridge Junior High, Roy High and Weber State University. He lived in Roy, UT, from the time he was one year old. He was a hard worker, loyal to his employers. He worked at ServePro in Bountiful, Jimmy Johns in Ogden, and then finally at The Pie Pizzeria where he was the night kitchen manager.
He was ordained a Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He became an Eagle Scout at the age of 14.
He loved soccer and played until he injured his ankle five years ago. He still loved to sit with Morgan and watch Premier League matches, always rooting for Newcastle FC. He was an incredible musician, he loved playing his piano and guitar. He was always happy if he could either be fly-fishing in the summer or snowboarding at Powder Mountain in the winter.
He is survived by his lifetime companion, Morgan Brown, the love of his life. He is also survived by his parents, his sister Brenna (Cameron) Barnhart, and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, VeLoy and Sharon Payne, his paternal grandparents Nelson Stott and Patricia Yero, and his aunt Michelle Berchtold.
A memorial celebration of life will be held on April 18, 2024, between 5 and 8 p.m. at Warehouse 22, 1068 W 350 S Suite A, Syracuse, UT 84075.
We want to thank all the numerous family members and friends for the happiness and joy they brought to Michael during his lifetime. He was an incredibly happy person that everyone loved to be around! He will always be deeply loved, immeasurably missed, and never forgotten.
