Michele B. Ferreyra

Michele Black Ferreyra, 50, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, June 1, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 25, 1957 in Sacramento, California the daughter of Clair H. and Gwen Alene Black.

Michele married the love of her life, Steven Robert Ferreyra on April 21, 2006 in Santa Barbara, CA.

Michele graduated from Morgan High School and received her Bachelor''s Degree from Weber State College. She achieved her Master''s Degree in Educational Media from the University of Utah.

As a young child, Michele and her family traveled extensively due to her father''s re-assignments in the Armed Forces. Her early years were spent living in Sacramento, Ca; Guam; Laredo, TX; Minot, ND, and Layton, UT. She was the happiest while visiting the ocean and whale watching with her husband, Steve.

She is survived by her husband, Steven, of Las Vegas, NV; parents, Clair and Gwen Black of Syracuse, UT; sisters, Melody (Paul) Badali of Layton, UT; Sherie Black of Syracuse, UT; brothers, Steve (Marie) Black of Mendon, UT; David (Ann) Black of Merced, CA; many nieces and nephews who loved and adored her, and her mother-in-law, Laura Dettler of Las Vegas, NV.

Private services were held Thursday, June 12, 2008.
