Michele Warner Fitzgerald

December 7, 1968 — March 16, 2025

Beloved Eternal Companion, Mom, Sister, Aunt, Grandma and Friend

Michele Warner Fitzgerald, age 56, entered her Savior’s arms on March 16th 2025. She is survived by her husband Greg Grant Fitzgerald, four amazing children Tena Scott, Tawniele (Tanner) Maurer, Tavis (Megan Coleman) Fitzgerald, and Torie (Tyler) Kurtz, and one special grandchild, August Wade Maurer. She is preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Eloise Warner and stepmother Nancy Garn Warner.

Michele spent her life in the service of others, following closely in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Her life was a testament to how much she loved her family and the Lord. Michele served many years as a faithful and devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent countless hours serving in various capacities in the Nursery, Primary, Young Women’s, Relief Society, as well as ministering to her fellow sisters. Michele would do just about anything to join the young women at girls camp; the stories, the s’mores, and the testimonies shared filled her bucket like nothing else could. One year she even convinced the Bishop that she “loved” to cook just so she could be at camp with her girls.

She was a sincere friend to all who crossed her path. Oh, how she loved the ladies in her book club. Whether or not the book had been read, she would be there for the food and for her friends. Deep and lasting friendships were second nature to her, she knew exactly how to connect with and comfort those in her life. Michele was a dedicated and reliable friend and you could always count on her to be there for you come rain or shine, sleet or hail.

She was so kind and innocent in life that we all felt shocked when we discovered that she was indeed the culprit during one of our family murder-mystery dinner parties. We all had a good laugh about that. Any activity or adventure that involved her family, she was all-in. Whether it was something simple like a delicious Sunday dinner or something as grand as hiking Machu Picchu, Michele would be there, side-by-side with her family, smiling so brightly. Michele was at every piano and dance recital, sporting event, birthday celebration, school assembly, early morning bus stop run, late-night and last minute homework party, and everything else in between. Let there be no doubt in anyone’s mind: she was our angel dressed in scripture quoting T-shirts.

Everyone who knew Michele would agree that her laugh, her joyous and all-consuming giggle, brought light into every room and warmth into every heart. When she laughed, you couldn’t help but laugh right along with her because in that moment you could feel nothing but her joy and happiness. She had the amazing ability to see the best in everyone and she would go out of her way to tell the people in her life all the good she saw in them.

Her siblings Tawnya (Buster Bob) Palmer, Gradon Warner, Jan (Dan) Balls, Curtis (JoDee) McCulloch, Kaylene (Jon) Moss, and Russ (Teresa) Warner found so much joy and fulfillment watching Michele grow up. Her older siblings endearingly called her “Missy” as she was the baby sister, they all loved so deeply. +

One of Michele’s favorite phrases was, “Many hands make light work,” and her children can attest to how frequently those words were spoken within the walls of their home. She used her hands to serve and lift others just like the Savior did and she knew that small acts of kindness would make a big difference. In honor of her loving memory, take the time to check-in with those around you. See where you can make someone else’s burden even just a little lighter, just like she would. In lieu of flowers, Michele’s sincerest desire would be for you to think of a friend and take them a meal to brighten their day.
