Michele Mockli, 61, passed away peacefully March 27, 2023 at her home in Layton, surrounded by family after valiantly battling cancer for three years.
Michelle was born in Ogden, Utah to Kent and Ilene (Steele) Mockli June 7, 1961. She was a lifelong resident of Layton. She attended Whitesides Elementary, Central Davis Jr. and graduated from Layton High School in 1979. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Weber State University.
Michele worked for Delta Airlines for 33 years, where she developed many wonderful friendships. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She loved the movies and looked forward to attending the Sundance film festival every year.
She was preceded in death by her father Kent Mockli, a step-father Harold Williams, and her grandparents; a brother-in-law Rick Adams and niece Shailee Adams; nephews Slater and Wesley Ross, Justin Byrns and David Parry. She is survived by parents Ilene Williams, Rudd and Dionne Scoffield; brothers Kirt (Shar) Mockli, Brandon (Heather) Scoffield, Tyler (Hollie) Scoffiled, Jared (Rebecca) Grimshaw; sisters Launi (Lee) Halling, Lorri (Dave) Parry, Lisa (Glen) Gates, Lezli Adams, Debbie (Kirt) Albert; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who all love her dearly.
The family wishes to thank her friends from Delta, ward members, friends, and family whom supported her and loved her through this journey. Your kind words, cards, phone calls and visits brought joy and comfort to her during some tough times. We also would like to thank Utah Hematology and Oncology doctors and staff for the care she received with them.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3, at 2:00 p.m.at Lindquist’s Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family on Sunday, April 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
