Michelle Nielsen

Michelle "Shelly" Nielsen was born September 19, 1976 in Wiesbaden, West Germany to William Craig and Aline Nielsen. She passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at McKay- Dee Hospital in Ogden Utah from health complications at the age 35.

Shelly enjoyed weight lifting, bowling, camping, fishing, and serving others. She loved to work with young children and enjoyed their innocence and kindness. She was a loving spirit who would never judge another. She worked hard as a Special Olympian and gained valued friends along the way. Although she had many health issues, she excelled at many things when others doubted. She was a joy to her family and friends and will be sorely missed.

The family would like to thank those who cared for her in her time of need.

Shelly is survived by her parents and two older brothers, Wayne (Utonya) and Brent (Alishia).

She was preceded in death by her brother, Terryl.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16th at 11 a.m. at the West Point 8th Ward Chapel, 2865 West 800 North.

The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Wednesday from 10 to10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
