Mickie Cook Zenger
Mickie Cook Zenger age 72 of Centerville, Utah, passed away peacefully, September 28, 2012, while she slept following a long fight with Parkinson''s disease and it''s complications.
She was born August 18, 1940 to Christopher and Beatrice Cook in their residence in Salt Lake City, Utah. She had a brother Martin Lee Cook "Butch" (deceased) and a sister Jackie Cook. Mickie spent her early childhood in the Murray, Utah area until her family moved to South Salt Lake where she spent her teen years. She graduated from South High School and met her future husband on graduation night, and for the next 54 years they made many friends and helped raise four of God''s fabulous children (Dirk, Darren, Robin and Adam), who are now raising her 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
During her last 54 years, Mickie has helped our Heavenly Father by answering calls to serve in many different capacities such as Relief Society President, Young Women President, Ward Activities Committee Chairperson, Cub Scout Leader, Visiting Teacher, Inservice Leader, and many calling within the Relief Society.
Viewing will be held Thursday, October, 4, 2012 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. from 6-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 610 Rowland Way, Centerville, Utah with Bishop Richard Leonard officiating. Following funeral services, graveside services will be held at the Centerville City Cemetery, 700 E. 400 S.
