Mildred Ilene Beeler

Mildred Ilene Beeler, 94, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. She was born to Jack and Mae Smith Koning on July 22, 1919 in Ogden, Utah. Mildred grew up and lived her entire life in Ogden.

Her first job was at Peery''s Egyptian Theater when she was 16 years old. While working there she met her future husband, Bill, for the first time. Mildred and Alfred William Beeler were married on March 25, 1937 in Ogden. After they married she worked at Beeler Market on Jefferson Ave. Together they raised one son, T. Jack, and one daughter, Cherie, and they especially loved their holidays. Later in life she returned to the grocery business, working as a bakery manager for Smith''s for many years.

Mildred and Bill loved fishing together and traveled with several RV clubs. Mildred loved her family and kept a beautiful home. She enjoyed hosting and cooking for family and friends. The most important thing in her life was her family.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of both the Eagles and Elks Lodges locally.

Mildred is survived by her son, Thomas Jack (Connie) Beeler, Ogden, UT; daughter, Cherie (LaVell) Rasmussen, Ogden, UT; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Rose Beeler; sisters, Myrtle Leavitt and June Rhodes Leavitt; and granddaughters, Michelle Beeler and Misty Rasmussen.

Graveside services were held for the family on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park. Arrangements were entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.
